The Best Brunch Spots in Amsterdam are important to know if you are heading to Amsterdam for a vacation, or if you live here! Make sure you know where to go for brunch and make the best of your time in Amsterdam.

Here’s my picks for the five best brunch spots in Amsterdam:

Bakers & Roasters

Bakers and Roasters is an Amsterdam institution. Regularly packed, this Kiwi & Brazilian owned cafe is in 2 locations. One in De Pijp, the other in Kadijksplein, near-ish to Centraal station. Their menu is drool-worthy and if there’s only one place you’ll go to for brunch on a trip to Amsterdam, this would be my pick from this list!

B&R also make exceptional coffee, great breakfast cocktails and scrumptious cakes!

Where?
1 – Eerste Jacob van Campenstraat 54, 1072 BH Amsterdam
2 – Kadijksplein 16, 1018 AC Amsterdam

Drovers Dog

five best brunch spots amsterdam

As an Aussie Expat living in Amsterdam, Australian-owned Drover’s Dog quickly became a favourite all-day restaurant! Serving some great lunch and dinner options, I definitely recommend this place, however for me, I can’t go past their brunch menu!

Classic Australian brunch is served here with the obvious choice, smashed avo with crispy bacon and sunny-side-up eggs! The coffee is always great and the service, delightful!

Drovers Dog has 3 locations, so find your nearest and get down there!

1 – Eerste Atjehstraat 62, 1094 KP Amsterdam
2 – Heemstedestraat 25, 1059 CX Amsterdam
3 – Wibautstraat 26, 1091 GS Amsterdam

Avocado Show

The Avocado Show had so much buzz before it opened, friends from all over the world were texting me to tell me about it! Yes, apart from the marketing train that is The Avocado Show, it is certainly a place to visit whilst in Amsterdam.

The entire menu is avocado dishes, from more popular classics like eggs benedict (with the english muffin now a half of avocado instead), to avocado smoothies, and so on.

The interior design is funky, and the food really is delicious. I would not ever wait in a line to go, however. That’s just crazy. Arrive as soon as they open and you shouldn’t have to wait for a table. Arrive 30 minutes later and be prepared to wait 2 hours for a table! When we left our brunch at The Avocado Show, there was over 100 people in the line outside. Yes, I really counted.

Where? Daniël Stalpertstraat 61, 1072 XB Amsterdam

G’s Brunch Boat

G’s is a lovely breakfast restaurant in Amsterdam! But when they went and got their own brunch boat, their concept really won the fashionable foodies over. Serving a steller brunch on a canal boat, you will go on a tour of the Amsterdam Canals all whilst dining  on your morning eggs, coffee and Bloody Mary’s!

The Brunch Boat costs €39.50 and includes a brunch meal, an alcohol beverage and non-alcohol beverage as well as 1.5 hours canal cruising! G’s has an exceptional Bloody Mary menu at their fixed location restaurants, so trying these really is a must.

Where? Keizersgracht 177, 1016 DW Amsterdam

Zoku

five best brunch spots amsterdam

This hotel come co-working space come all-day restaurant was one I was dying to check out ever since I heard about it opening! Finally the day came that we went for brunch.

An interesting concept, Zoku asks €19.50 for brunch. You choose your meal via an ipad based on the daily menu and pay. Your €19.50 includes unlimited coffee, juice, buffet of pastries, meats, cheeses, small desserts, and yummy fresh breads.

The place itself has great design, and sits at the top level of the Zoku Hotel, which has a great view of Amsterdam!

Where? Weesperstraat 105, 1018 VN Amsterdam
